Session Policies:
Through His Lens Photography
At Through His Lens Photography, my heart is to create a peaceful, joy-filled experience that beautifully reflects who you are and the love of God through every image captured. To ensure a smooth and clear process, please review the following policies before booking.

1. Booking & Retainer
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to officially secure your session date and time.
The remaining 50% is due on or before the session date (prior to the start of your shoot).
Sessions are not confirmed until both the retainer and signed photography agreement are received.
Your session date will be held for 48 hours after your inquiry — if payment is not received within that time, the date may be released.

2. Rescheduling & Cancellations
If you need to reschedule, please do so with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Your retainer will be applied to the new date (rescheduling is allowed once per booking).
Cancellations or no-shows will forfeit the retainer.
In the case of weather, illness, or emergency, sessions may be rescheduled at no additional cost at the photographer’s discretion.

3. Late Arrivals
Sessions begin at the scheduled time.
Late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time to stay within your reserved window, so please plan to arrive early — especially for outdoor or event sessions.

4. Editing & Delivery
All images are hand-edited in Through His Lens Photography’s signature style, including color correction and light retouching.
Requests for extensive or body-altering edits (e.g., slimming or background changes) may incur an additional fee.
Final galleries are delivered via a private online gallery within 1–3 weeks of your session (events may take longer depending on coverage).
Unedited (“raw”) images are not released under any circumstance.

5. Photo Usage & Copyright: Through His Lens Photography retains full copyright ownership of all images captured.
Clients receive personal use rights, allowing you to:
• Print and display your images for personal enjoyment
• Share them online with family and friends
You may not sell, alter, or use the images for commercial or promotional purposes without written permission.
Through His Lens Photography reserves the right to use selected images for portfolio display, website galleries, social media, and promotional materials.
If you prefer your photos not be shared publicly, please notify me in writing before your session.

6. Client Cooperation
Please arrive on time, come prepared, and share any creative ideas or special requests in advance.
Your openness and communication help ensure we capture the heart and story behind your session.
For family sessions, coordinating outfits and making sure little ones are rested and fed can make a big difference in your experience.

7. Travel & Locations
Travel within 10 miles of base location is included in your session fee.
A travel fee may apply for locations beyond this radius to cover additional time and transportation.
Any necessary permits or location fees are the client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed upon.

8. Payments
Accepted payment methods include Venmo, Zelle, credit, or debit card.
Payments must be completed in full before or on the day of your session.

9. Image Storage
Your online gallery will remain active for 2 weeks from the date of delivery.
Please download and back up your images promptly — additional uploads or reactivations may incur a small fee.

10. Agreement
By booking a session with Through His Lens Photography, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these policies.
A formal contract confirming these terms will be sent prior to your session.
